UZEX turnover increases by 20.3% in 1q

Total turnover of exchange and exhibition-fair trades at Uzbekistan Commodity Exchange rose by 20.3% in the first quarter of 2013, a publication of the Ministry of Economy and State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.
According to the publication, turnover at exchange and exhibition-fair trades at UZEX made up over 1.5 trillion soums in the first quarter of 2013.
The publication said that expansion of market mechanism on realization of produced goods helped to growth of UZEX turnover.
The exchange increased trades of secondary alumina, copper products, non-ferrous metal scrap, cement, liquefied gas, coal, etc. Share of small businesses in total trade turnover made up 753.5 billion soums (+7).
