UZEX turnover comes close to record level
The UZEX said that the growth was recorded at all trade platforms, but the largest growth was registered at exchange trades.
Exchange trades
Last week producers actively put for sale their products. The growth of sales was recorded in all groups of goods. The total turnover increased 1.5 times from 92 billion soums.to 142.7 billion soums.
Significant growth of sales volumes of food products such as flour, edible oil and sugar, share of the segment rose to 19%. The sales of oil products increased by 84% and their share in the market reached 9% (from 7%).
Despite the growth of sales of chemical products by threefold, its share in total turnover made up 2%. The positive trends were also recorded in construction materials and forage markets.
The volume of export sales rose by 71% and made up US$3.6 million. The exchange said that polyethylene market accounted 80% of export market last week. Some 1,900 tonnes of polyethylene of Shortan Gas Chemical Complex were realized for US$2.9 million. Cement and ammonium nitrate held other part of the market.
Exbibition-fair trades
Last week, the trade turnover of the exhibition-fair trades rose from 13.3 billion soums to 19.2 billion soums, or by 45%. Small businesses also increased sales of goods by 17% to 6.1 billion soums. The growth was recorded despite fall of number of deals and trade participants. About 93.9% of deals were carried out in Uzbekistan. The volume of exports deals was 1.2 billion soums.
Tashkent, Bukhara and Andijan regions led on number of deals, while Kashkadarya region led on the volume of deals. Tashkent region was on the second place.
The volume of sales of machinery goods rose from 4.1 billion soums to 6.6 billion soums. The realization of ferrous and non-ferrous metals reached 2.8 billion soums and goods of cultural pupose – 2.5 billion soums.
The largest deal was recorded in Kashkadarya region. Its volume made up 3.6 billion soums. Two export deals with copper wires and ferula were also registered at the exchange.
Public procurement
The volume of public procurement reached 9.1 billion soums last week compared to 8.5 billion soums in previous week. The volume of saved budget resources made 1.7 billion soums. Number of suppliers, which signed agreements, rose from 1,150 to 1,215. Share of small businesses in total trade made up 94.5%.
Andijan region claimed the first place on number of deals and third place on the volume of saved budget resources. Tashkent city was first on the volume of saved budget resources.
The largest deal was recorded between the enterprise, recipient of state budget resources, and company in Bukhara and its sum was 244.9 million.
