UZEX says 4,600 tonnes of non-ferrous metals sold in 2 months
In the reporting period, as in previous years, copper cathode and copper rolled wire took the large share in the non-ferrous metals segment of the market. In two months of 2012, share of these two goods grew up to 95%.
The sales of copper demonstrated high growth mainly due to stable growth of internal demand from local producers, first of all cable producers.
Dynamics of average prices of domestic transactions with copper cathode, which directly depends from world prices, in particular, on prices of London Metal Exchange (LME), in fact, completely correlated with the situation on the world market.
Thus, after the world markets, the copper trend in the domestic market of UZEX in January-February was balanced. The average weighted prices of transactions were between 15.9 million - 16.3 million soums per tonne.
