UZEX registers deals for 1.1 trln. soums in December

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Total volume of deals, conducted at Uzbekistan Commodity Exchange (UZEX) in December 2016, made up 1.1 trillion soums, which grew by 44.8% year-on-year.

According to the exchange, the volume of exchange deals in December 2016 made up 890.1 billion soums against 566.4 billion soums in 2015. The hard currency trade platform realized goods for US$10.1 million.

The fair trades platform registered deals for 145.9 billion soums, growing by 13.3% year-on-year. The public procurement platform recorded deals for 39.4 billion soums. This helped to save budget resources worth 9.8 billion soums.

The volume of corporate procurement made up 36.7 billion soums in December, which grew by 19.4% year-on-year.
