UZEX records deals for 6.5 trillion soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The volume of signed deals at all trade platforms of Uzbekistan Commodity Exchange (UZEX) made up 6.5 trillion soums in January-September 2014, which rose by 27% compared to the same period of 2013.

According to the press-service of the exchange, small and private businesses realized goods for 1.2 trillion soums, which grew twice compared to the same period of 2013.

In the reporting period, the volume of exchange deals rose by 20% to 5.2 trillion soums. The share of exchange deals in total exchange market fell from 85% to 80.3%, which serves as evidence for development of exhibition-fair and auction trades. The volume of exhibition-fair trades rose to 689.8 billion soums or by 49.5%. Aggregate export via exchange and exhibition-fair trades rose by 21.6% to 311.3 billion soums.

The public procurement platform recorded over 193,000 deals for 339.4 billion soums with the growth rate of 11.7%. The volume of saved budget resources made up 82.2 billion soums or 19.5% compared to starting cost of the purchase. Share of small and private businesses on public procurement made up 97.5% from total number of deals and 98.3% from total sum of deals.

The volume of corporate procurement made up 263.2 billion soums and it helped to save resources for 49.4 billion soums ot 15.8% from total sum. Over 3,000 buyers and 9,000 suppliers registered at the platform, of which 93% are small businesses.

Share of small businesses in supplied goods, services and works on corporate procurement reached 96% of number of deals and 95.5% from total sum of the agreements.
