UZEX records deals for 4.2bn soums in Jan-Jun

The exchange said that 81.2% of the volume or 3.4 trillion soums fell to share of the exchange trades, which rose by 17.4%. The small and private businesses realized goods for 735.2 billion soums in the first half of 2014, which grew by 98.1% year-on-year.

The highest growth of deals – about 60.5% - was achieved in exhibition-fair trades, the volume of which made up 434.4 billion soums. Total exports via currency platform and exhibition-fair trades increased by 21% to 196.8 billion soums.

The public procurement platform registered over 117,000 deals for 195.8 billion soums, which rose by 10.7% year-on-year. This helped to save 46.9 billion soums of budget resources or 19.3% from the starting price of goods or services.

Share of small businesses in supply of goods, services or works on public procurement via electronic auction trades made up 96.5% from total number of deals and 97% from total sum of deals.

The volume of electronic deals on corporate procurement made up 162.9 billion soums, which helped to save resources for 33.5 billion soums or 17.1% compared to the starting price of the goods or services.
