UZEX realizes goods for 913.8bn soums in February

The volume of goods, realized at Uzbekistan Commodity Exchange (UZEX) made up 913.8 billion soums in February 2016, which rose by 40% year-on-year, the press service of the exchange said.
The volume of exchange trades rose by 41%, fair trades – 49%, public procurement – 17% and corporate procurement – 23% in the reporting period.
The volume of exchange deals rose from 507.3 billion soums in February 2015 to 717.8 billion soums in February 2016. Share of construction materials and food products in total trades fell from 51% to 43%. The platform recorded deals with hard currency for US$5 million.
The fair trades platform of the UZEX recorded 39% growth of deals, which reached 128.9 billion soums. About 25% of deals fell to share of chemical industry and 12% - to construction materials.
The sum of deals at public procurement platform reached 31.3 billion soums in February 2016, growing by 4.6 billion soums compared to the same period of last year. Some 7.6 billion soums of the state budget resources were saved.
The corporate procurement platform recorded deals for 33.4 billion soums in February 2016 against 27.1 billion soums in the same month of 2015.
