UZEX: cement market beats records

Cement market of Uzbekistan Commodity Exchange (UZEX) demonstrates high activity in 2013. In 2.5 months of 2013, the producers increased their offers by 33% compared to 2012, while nomenclature rose up to 13 types.
In the reporting period, some 1.1 million tonnes of cement were realized in internal market, which grew by 270,000 tonnes compared to 2012 figures. This is the maximum volume for last seven years, UZEX said.
The exchange said that bulk cement were highly demanded among buyers, as its share in total volume of sold cement made up 93%.
In 2.5 months of 2013, some 1 million tonnes of bulk cement and 74,600 tonnes of packaged cement were realized through electronic exchange trades.
