“Uzbektelecom” Increases Authorized Capital Through Profit Capitalization

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Following the meeting of the Supervisory Board of JSC “Uzbektelecom” held on 28 January 2026, a decision was made to significantly increase the company’s authorized capital through the capitalization of retained earnings.

According to the resolution of the General Meeting of Shareholders, the company’s charter capital will increase by 652.3 billion soums, reaching a total of 978.5 billion soums. The additional share issuance will amount to 565.3 million shares with a nominal value of 1,154 soums each.

Of these, 545.6 million will be ordinary shares and 19.7 million will be preferred shares.

The placement of additional shares will be conducted through a closed subscription among existing shareholders in proportion to their current holdings. For each existing share, shareholders will receive two additional shares, according to the shareholder register compiled as of the 15th day following the state registration of the issuance.

The source of the capital increase is the company’s net profit for the 2019–2024 period retained at the disposal of “Uzbektelecom,” as well as the balance of funds from the 2019 capitalization.
