Uzbeks draw large crowd

Fans have turned up in large numbers to cheer the players in the ongoing AFC U-16 Championship in the Uzbekistan capital.
A total of 117,750 fans have watched the 24 group matches so far making it an average of 4,906 per match.
Hosts Uzbekistan’s 8-1 thrashing of neighbours Tajikistan was watched by the highest number of spectators - 22,000 - at the Pakhtakor Stadium while the opening game between Uzbekistan and Indonesia, which the hosts won 3-0, attracted 16,500 fans.
More than 10,000 fans passed through the turnstiles when Uzbekistan played Jordan in their second game which ended in a goalless stalemate.
