According to the investment programme for 2014, the volume of foreign direct investments will make up US$2.228 billion, own resources – US$247.8 million, loans of the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan (FRDU) – US$290.2 million and loans of foreign and Uzbek banks – US$100.3 million.
In particular, Russia’s LUKOIL will invest US$1.05 billion in 2014 to realize two product-sharing agreements with total cost of US$8.1 billion.
Uzbek-Chinese joint venture Asia Trans Gas will complete construction of third line of the gas pipeline Central Asia – China.
Uz-Kor Gas Chemical will spend US$759 million to construction of Ustyurt Gas Chemical Complex in northern-western Uzbekistan with total cost of US$4.1 billion.
Some US$296 million will be directed to construction of fields in Bukhara-Khiva region.
