Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the initiative of the Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz, a number of projects on business digitalization are being implemented in the society.

As a result of one of such projects, Uzbekneftegaz will become a full-fledged member of the global business network SAP Ariba.

Joining SAP Ariba takes place within the framework of the adopted program of digital transformation of Uzbekneftegaz and automation of the Company's business processes. The SAP Ariba project will be implemented jointly with the international integrator company Parma-Telecom.

SAP Ariba is a comprehensive tool for direct access to suppliers and global sales markets through the largest trading platform operating on a business-to-business model. Today the network covers more than 5.5 million suppliers worldwide and is constantly expanding, with an annual turnover of more than 2.8 trillion US dollars.

Uzbekneftegaz becomes a full-fledged member of the global business network SAP Ariba, in which 76% of Fortune 2000 companies are registered. Thus, the Company not only transforms the procurement process, but itself can act as a supplier and sell products around the world.

It should be noted that Uzbekneftegaz is a pioneer among state-owned companies of the Republic that are implementing the transition to business digitalization.

The company has already completed a large number of projects to automate business processes for industry leaders, including the successful implementation of SAP products for Lukoil in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The initiator of the project, Shahzod Alirizayev, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "Uzbekneftegaz", noted several important aspects of the Project:

“As one of the flagships of the economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Uzbekneftegaz JSC set a course for the digitalization of the industry and began this process with the introduction of solutions to improve the efficiency of procurement, document flow and interaction with contractors.

Already in 2020–2021, the Company's management intends to bring interaction with counterparties to a qualitatively new level.

The SAP Ariba implementation project will increase the transparency of Uzbekneftegaz's procurement processes and increase their efficiency, as well as reduce paper workflow as much as possible by converting it to digital format.

 It is expected that through the implementation of this project, Uzbekneftegaz JSC will achieve the following results:

• reducing the cost of purchases by at least 15% of the current values;

• reduction of operating costs for the procurement process by up to 70%;

• increasing the number of potential suppliers by 15%;

• more than 50% reduction in the number of errors in document flow;

• entering new markets for products.

The Project is the first stage of the digital transformation program of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, which should become a locomotive for the subsequent implementation of a corporate information system (ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning) based on advanced IT industry products.

The ERP system of the Company will cover the processes of supply, inventory management, budgeting and financial planning, as well as production processes.

Implementation of the digital transformation program of Uzbekneftegaz will contribute to the successful implementation of reforms in our country and will positively affect both the industry and all our consumers. "
