Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 6 February, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting to discuss the effectiveness of the oil and gas industry and the challenges faced in increasing the production of natural gas and liquid hydrocarbons. This was reported by the Uzbekneftegaz press service.

Over the past short period, measures have been taken to reduce diesel prices in accordance with the tasks and instructions given by the chairman of the board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC.

In particular, the exchange price per liter of diesel fuel produced by enterprises of Uzbekneftegas JSC in January-February 2020 (in 2019 amounted to an average of 7,300 soums) remained at the level of 7,500 soums.

In March of this year, the announced price of one liter of diesel fuel on the exchanges was reduced to 7089 soums.

During the coronavirus pandemic in our country, as a result of preventing the economic crisis, as well as falling global oil prices, raw materials were imported at low prices, which significantly reduced the cost.

From 14 April, Uzbekneftegaz set the price of diesel fuel per liter at 5,600 soums. Over the past three months, the price has been reduced by almost 2,000 sounms.

In addition, Uzbekneftegaz created at its own expense a stock of diesel fuel for farmers, dekhkan farms and landowners for agricultural work.

On 30 March 2020, the Bukhara Oil Refinery for the first time in Uzbekistan began production of environmentally friendly and high-quality diesel fuel of the Euro-4 and Euro-5 brands.
