Uzbekneftegaz: Measures are being taken at the Shurtan field to ensure a stable volume of natural gas production and prevent a natural fall

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On behalf of the Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz, in order to ensure uninterrupted provision of consumers of the republic with natural gas resources, a number of activities are being carried out in oil and gas production departments.

In particular, work is being actively carried out in the Shurtan oil and gas production department located in Guzar district of Kashkadarya region.

The Shurtan field is one of the largest fields in the republic with an annual gas production of 6.0-7.0 billion cubic meters. In order to preserve natural gas production at the field and reduce the natural fall in wells, constant optimization is carried out.

In particular, the construction and installation of a gas pipeline with a diameter of 1020x15 mm with a total length of 9100 p / m from the 1st and 2nd stages of primary gas treatment to compressor station-2 has begun.

Construction work is carried out by the design organization - "UzLITIneftegaz", and construction and installation work - by "Muborakneftegazmontazh".

Components and reinforcing fittings for the gas pipeline are supplied at the expense of the internal needs and reserves of Uzbekneftegaz enterprises.

The commissioning of the gas pipeline to be installed will ensure the simultaneous operation of gas-pumping compressors, prevention of hydraulic resistance and an increase in gas production.

As a result of the expansion of the gas pipelines, an additional 400 thousand cubic meters of natural gas will be produced per day by reducing the gas pressure in the gas wells and control pipelines.

It should be noted that there are 2 primary gas treatment units at the Shurtan field, each with a design capacity of 10 billion cubic meters of natural gas processing per year.
