Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tashkent hosted the 8th International Conference "Oil Refining and Petrochemistry of Central Asia 2021", jointly organized by Uzbekneftegaz JSC and the British company Globuk.

In total, it was attended by specialists from companies from 23 countries on promising projects in the gas chemical and petrochemical fields and their implementation.

Within the framework of the conference, negotiations were held between Uzbekneftegaz and Gazpromneft-Industrial Innovations on the introduction of technologies for the production of high-octane gasoline at the Bukhara oil refinery.

The sides discussed a new innovative technology "Arforming" of the company "Gazpromneft-Industrial Innovations" with the aim of expanding capacities for the production of motor gasoline "AI-92" instead of the produced motor gasoline "AI-80" at the Bukhara oil refinery.

The objective of this technology is to obtain high-octane gasoline products by interaction of light gasoline fractions with methanol using a special catalyst.

Further implementation of the proposed technology at the plant will allow to completely abandon the produced AI-80 gasoline fuel and to produce high-octane types of gasoline fuel.

The parties agreed to carry out the necessary research at the scientific center of the Gazpromneft-Industrial Innovations company, exchange up-to-date technological information, consider the feasibility study for the implementation of the Arforming technological unit with a capacity of 20.0 thousand tons per year at the Bukhara oil refinery.

In addition, the Russian company presented a number of projects that further improve the quality of petroleum products and increase the production of new types of products. In particular, the catalytic cracking catalyst, light hydrogenation catalyst, biofuels presented at the presentation aroused the interest of specialists.
