Uzbekneftegaz Discusses Expansion of Exploration and Drilling Operations with Chinese Partners

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Under the leadership of Chairman of the Management Board of JSC “Uzbekneftegaz” Abdugani Sanginov, negotiations were held with Chinese partners on the expansion and modernization of the company’s geological exploration, drilling, and geophysical operations.

During the working meeting with CNLC, a company with extensive international experience, discussions focused on geophysical surveys and perforation services in wells operating at high temperatures up to 230°C and pressures up to 1400 atmospheres. The parties also considered studies in wells up to 7,000 meters deep and the supply of modern geophysical equipment capable of functioning under extreme temperature and pressure conditions.

Special attention was paid to ensuring safe transportation for employees at plants, administrative offices, and oil and gas fields, as well as creating comfortable working conditions. Technical readiness of buses produced in Shandong Province (Zhongtong Bus), Zhengzhou (YUTONG Bus), and Beijing (FOTON) was reviewed, with negotiations on vehicle supply conducted with FOTON.

In addition, discussions with the China National Petroleum Engineering & Construction Corporation (part of CNPC) led to agreements on cooperation in developing project documentation for prospective Uzbekneftegaz projects using advanced innovative solutions, and on establishing a research institute in Tashkent. Separate negotiations with SJ Petroleum Machinery addressed the acquisition of modern drilling equipment.

Following the meetings, Chairman Abdugani Sanginov emphasized the strategic importance of these initiatives for Uzbekneftegaz and stressed the need to execute all works with high quality, within strict deadlines, and using state-of-the-art technologies.

Both sides confirmed their readiness to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation.
