“Uzbekneftegaz” Discusses Decarbonization and SAF Projects with VEMA

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Chairman of the Board of JSC “Uzbekneftegaz” held a working meeting with a delegation from the Swiss company VEMA S.A., the company’s press service reported.

During the discussions, both sides reviewed project initiatives focused on decarbonization and attracting green financing.

Key attention was given to the “LDAR” project, aimed at detecting and reducing methane emissions, as well as joint development of technical and economic feasibility studies and modernization of compressor stations.

Participants also explored opportunities for practical cooperation on sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production.

Following the meeting, both sides expressed readiness to expand joint environmental initiatives and continue active collaboration in green energy.
