Uzbekneftegaz and World Bank discuss cooperation issues

The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss issues related to supporting the oil and gas sector from the budget and financing projects of Uzbekneftegaz.

The Uzbek side informed the mission of the bank about the reforms in the oil and gas sector and plans of the company in its participation in the international market. It was noted that the main scheme for gas supply and gasification is being developed in Uzbekistan.

Uzbekneftegaz invited the World Bank to take part in assessment of the effectiveness of investment projects, development of tariff policy and other components of the main scheme.

The parties agreed to hold several more meetings to further discuss the considered issues.
