Uzbekneftegaz and SOCAR Sign Memorandum on AI in Oil and Gas

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — JSC Uzbekneftegaz held a meeting with representatives of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), resulting in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies in the oil and gas sector.

The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation between Uzbek and Azerbaijani companies, digitize processes, and improve production efficiency through AI applications.

Under the memorandum, projects will focus on optimizing diesel fuel production, developing a large language model (LLM) to support operational teams, and implementing Seismic AI and ENOM solutions for automating geological and energy data analysis.

SOCAR will also provide consultancy in creating a unified data architecture platform integrating all business processes and participate in the development of the «ODLAR» and «Daily Drilling» projects, which ensure full digitalization and visualization of seismic and drilling data.

The memorandum marks a new stage in applying AI technologies in the oil and gas industry, promoting digitalization, enhancing production efficiency, and introducing advanced technological solutions. This cooperation further strengthens economic and technological ties between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
