“Uzbekneftegaz” and SOCAR Agree to Accelerate Geological Exploration in the Ustyurt Region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from JSC “Uzbekneftegaz” participated in the International Exhibition and Conference “Turkmenistan Oil and Gas – 2025” (OGT-2025), where it held talks with the leadership of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic – SOCAR.

Within the framework of OGT-2025, the Chairman of the Board of “Uzbekneftegaz” met with the President of SOCAR.

The negotiations were conducted in a constructive and businesslike atmosphere, confirming the high level of partnership between the two companies.

The main topic of discussion was the implementation of the Production Sharing Agreement for geological exploration in the Ustyurt region, with a focus on accelerating the start of seismic surveys.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed on a set of measures aimed at expediting field operations, providing the project with the necessary technical and logistical resources, and increasing the overall efficiency of the current phase.

In addition, the parties agreed on directions for deepening cooperation in digitalization. “Uzbekneftegaz” will adopt SOCAR’s experience in the use of artificial intelligence tools, digital solutions, and automated management systems.

This cooperation is intended to enhance production efficiency, optimize costs, and ensure environmental sustainability.
