Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In accordance with the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On accelerated measures to improve the energy efficiency of economic and social sectors, the introduction of energy-saving technologies and the development of renewable energy sources” by the Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz approved an action plan to reduce electricity consumption at enterprises and departments for 2020.
Timely repair, testing of all electrical equipment and networks, the introduction of renewable energy sources and energy-saving equipment, as well as optimization of the operating mode of energy-intensive equipment or replacing it with equipment with low energy consumption in departments and enterprises increases the reliability of power supply, service life and profitability of electrical equipment.
The annual volume of electricity consumption by enterprises and departments of Uzbekneftegaz averages 1.2 billion kWh. This year it is planned to save 24.6 million kWh of electricity.
To achieve this goal, specialists are taking a number of measures to ensure uninterrupted power supply to production facilities for operation and energy saving.
In particular, according to the plan approved by the Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz for 8 months (January-August) of this year, 6912 current repairs, 41 complete technical inspections and 70 partial technical inspections of electrical equipment were performed at all enterprises and departments. 228 electric motors were completely repaired and put into operation on their own.
As part of measures to develop renewable energy sources and improve energy efficiency, 20 solar collectors, 2 solar photovoltaic plants and 150 solar photovoltaic lamps were installed. As a result, 491.9 tons of conventional fuel and energy resources and 530.948 million soums were saved.
