Uzbekkino and Mir create a documentary film "The Officer on Duty for Commenwealth"

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Today, a significant political event will be held in the format of video conference - a meeting of the heads of the CIS governments. It is known that this year Uzbekistan chairs the CIS. Especially for this event on three Russian TV channels - "Mir", "Mir 24" and "Mir Premium" will show the documentary film "The Officer on Duty for Commenwealth".

The 26-minute film tells about the cooperation of Uzbekistan and the CIS countries not only in 2020, but also during the long-term partnership of our country with the Commonwealth countries.

The scriptwriter and director Irina Kuzminskaya spoke about the process of making the film.

“3 thousand kilometers were between us, but we did it. For me, this is the first experience of working on a film by correspondence. But even in conditions of such a remote location, in my opinion, we have got decent material. The chairmanship of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the CIS in 2020 became the informational occasion for the film "The Officer on Duty for Commenwealth". A lot of preliminary work was done, the idea of the film was thought out, a shooting plan was drawn up, the producers have already agreed on their dates. In early April, the film crew of the Mir Interstate TV and Radio Company was supposed to fly to Uzbekistan to start filming together with colleagues from Uzbekkino, but the coronavirus pandemic ruined our plans, the borders were closed, and quarantine was introduced in the Commonwealth countries. But the leadership of Uzbekkino and MTRK Mir decided, despite and in spite of, not to abandon this joint project. The main filming load fell on the guys from "Uzbekkino", the organization and coordination of the process were carried out simultaneously from Moscow and Tashkent.

We wanted to show modern Uzbekistan in an interesting and large-scale way, its rapid movement forward, people devoted to their work, original culture, amazing nature, she said.

Kuzminskaya sincerely thanked the people who were involved in the implementation of the project.

“Agreements on the preparation of this film were reached between the Director General of Uzbekkino Firdavs Abdukhalikov and the Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Sergei Lebedev at the end of December 2019. We are grateful to the Mir TV company for their contribution to the implementation of this project. The film was created in a unique manner using new formats and approaches dictated by the coronavirus pandemic. The Russian side, without leaving the country, carried out work on the film with the help of cameramen, directors and documentary filmmakers "Uzbekkino", said Director of the DUK Documentary Films Bakhodir Adylov.

At the moment, the film is being dubbed into Uzbek. After its completion, the film will be shown on all national TV channels.
