Uzbekistan’s Tourism Sector Demonstrates Record Growth

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan has recorded a historic surge in inbound tourism, with the monthly flow of foreign visitors now consistently exceeding 1 million people for the first time in the country’s history.

According to data for the first nine months of 2025, Uzbekistan welcomed 8.6 million foreign tourists, marking a 112.5% increase compared to the same period last year.

Significant growth was observed across nearly all key source markets. Compared to the post-pandemic year of 2022, the number of tourists increased:

from the United Kingdom — by 2.6 times,

from Qatar — by 6.2 times,

from the United States — by 3 times,

from France — by 2.9 times,

from Russia — by 2.1 times,

from Hungary — by 3.3 times,

from Germany — by 2.5 times,

from Poland — by 6.2 times.

At the same time, the export of tourism services reached a record US$3.6 billion in 2025.

These remarkable results were achieved thanks to the consistent implementation of tourism reforms under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, aimed at unlocking Uzbekistan’s unique tourism potential.

Key factors behind this success include the expansion of international partnerships, the promotion of Uzbekistan’s tourism brand across global media platforms, the organization of large-scale roadshows abroad, and the country’s active participation in leading international tourism exhibitions.

These initiatives have significantly enhanced Uzbekistan’s global visibility and strengthened its position as one of the most dynamically developing tourism destinations in Eurasia.
