Uzbekistan’s Tourism Potential Presented in Malaysia
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 5 to 7 September 2025, at Malaysia’s largest tourism exhibition, the “MATTA Fair” in Kuala Lumpur, Uzbekistan’s national stand was presented by the Tourism Committee and the State Unitary Enterprise “National PR Center,” with support from the country’s diplomatic mission.
Participation in the exhibition represented an important step in expanding international cooperation, promoting Uzbekistan’s tourism offerings, and establishing direct contacts with representatives of the regional tourism industry.
The event brought together tour operators active in Uzbekistan, the national airline Uzbekistan Airways, and tourism departments of Tashkent and the Andijan region. B2B meetings were held during the exhibition to discuss prospects for cooperation and exchange experiences with partners from Malaysia and other Southeast Asian countries.
Visitors to the exhibition were introduced to Uzbekistan’s rich cultural heritage, history, cuisine, and traditions of hospitality.
Uzbekistan’s participation in the MATTA Fair strengthened the country’s image as an attractive tourist destination, increased interest from international partners in collaboration, and provided an opportunity to showcase the competitive advantages of traveling to Uzbekistan on a key regional platform.
