Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In February 2026, Uzbekistan saw a sharp increase in electricity generation from solar and wind power plants, according to the Ministry of Energy.

Total production reached 815 million kWh, exceeding February 2025 by 413 million kWh, or 203%. Solar photovoltaic stations produced 371 million kWh, while wind power plants generated 444 million kWh.

For comparison, in February 2025, these facilities together produced only 401 million kWh, with solar contributing 265 million kWh and wind 136 million kWh.
