Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 20 May 2025, as part of a working visit to Hungary, Abdulla Azizov, Director of Uzbekistan’s Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, held a meeting with the management of Egis Pharmaceuticals.

During the talks, the Uzbek delegation presented the company with investment opportunities in Uzbekistan, highlighting the favorable business climate and incentives offered through the country’s free economic zones.

Discussions focused on the prospects of establishing contract manufacturing and technology transfer initiatives. The Uzbek side emphasized the mutual benefits of cooperating with local pharmaceutical companies in these areas.

The two parties agreed to hold a follow-up meeting during the upcoming 4th Tashkent International Investment Forum to discuss concrete areas of partnership in greater detail.
