Uzbekistan’s natural gas production down 4.5% in the first nine months of 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s energy sector showed mixed dynamics in January–September 2025, according to the National Statistics Committee.
Natural gas production totaled 32.2 billion cubic meters, a 4.5% decrease compared to the same period in 2024 (33.7 billion cubic meters).
The oil sector also declined, producing 490.1 thousand tonnes of crude oil, down 9.6% from 542.2 thousand tonnes a year earlier.
Meanwhile, the coal industry recorded growth: output reached 5.6 million tonnes, up 5.7% from 5.3 million tonnes in 2024.
Motor gasoline production fell to 884.5 thousand tonnes, a 11.4% decrease from 998.0 thousand tonnes in the same period of 2024.
In contrast, diesel fuel output increased by 9.9%, reaching 875.2 thousand tonnes, compared to 796.8 thousand tonnes a year earlier.
Gas condensate production for the first nine months of 2025 amounted to 846.7 thousand tonnes, 8.3% lower than in the same period of 2024 (923.1 thousand tonnes).
