Uzbekistan’s MIPT and China’s Dongfang Electric, Sinosure Agree to Develop Energy Projects

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade (MIPT) of Uzbekistan held a meeting between Deputy Minister Ilzat Kasimov and representatives of the Chinese companies Dongfang Electric International Corporation and Sinosure.

The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of renewable energy, as well as issues related to financing and insurance of investment projects in Uzbekistan.

Dongfang Electric International Corporation, one of China’s largest industrial conglomerates, specializes in the design and construction of full-cycle energy facilities.

Following the talks, the sides reached an agreement to strengthen financial and technical cooperation and expand collaboration in the construction of new power transmission lines.
