Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Transport Warns of Ticket Fraud on Bus Routes from Russia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan has issued a warning over a rise in fraud cases targeting passengers returning to Uzbekistan by bus from cities in the Russian Federation.

According to the ministry, fraudsters have been spreading false information on social media and selling tickets for trips allegedly operated by Uzautotrans Service. These tickets are often priced several times higher than the official fare.

As a result, citizens end up using the services of unlicensed carriers that do not meet established safety and service quality standards.

Currently, Uzautotrans Service operates regular bus routes from Russia to Uzbekistan on the following lines:

Moscow – Tashkent (Novoyasenevskaya and Kotelniki bus terminals)
Kazan – Tashkent (Kazan bus terminal)
Perm – Tashkent (Perm bus terminal)

Tickets can only be purchased at bus terminal ticket offices or online via the official websites: busnovoyas.ru and e-traffic.ru.

The Ministry of Transport urges citizens to remain vigilant and purchase tickets only through official channels in order to avoid falling victim to fraud.
