Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Energy Ensures Priority Gas Supply for Public Transport in Several Regions

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan has announced additional measures to ensure the stable operation of public transport in several regions of the country.

Specifically, on city routes in Ferghana, Syrdarya, Surkhandarya regions, and Tashkent region, passenger transport companies are receiving priority natural gas supply through compressed natural gas refueling stations (CNG stations). This measure is aimed at ensuring uninterrupted bus operations throughout the day.

On 25 January, 1.5 million cubic meters of gas were delivered via CNG stations for special vehicles and public transport, and an additional 2.5 million cubic meters are planned for delivery today.

In Ferghana region, from 12:00 to 15:00, 22 stations servicing public and municipal transport were supplied with gas, while in Tashkent region, from 14:30 to 17:30, 20 stations received supply. Operations continue in other regions.

These measures have helped increase gas pressure in the networks and restore normative pressure in residential homes in certain areas.

Coordination of the operations is being carried out by regional khokimiyats in collaboration with the territorial administrations of relevant ministries and agencies.
