Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan and ILF Consulting Engineers have signed a strategic cooperation agreement aimed at implementing energy efficiency projects across the country. The agreement was signed by Deputy Minister Samandar Sadullaev and Oscar Gruber, Director of Management Consulting at ILF Consulting Engineers.

As part of this partnership, a comprehensive set of measures will be undertaken to enhance energy efficiency. These include the preparation of project documentation in line with international standards, the conduct of energy audits, technical supervision of energy efficiency performance for each facility, and oversight of the maintenance of installed equipment and technologies.

The signed agreements cover a range of specific initiatives. In 2025, energy efficiency improvements are planned for 89 public sector facilities in the Bukhara region. From 2025 to 2026, projects will be carried out to improve energy efficiency in 60 public sector and community buildings across 14 regions of Uzbekistan. Additionally, in 2025, energy efficiency upgrades are scheduled for 43 apartment buildings in the Chinaz and Oltiariq districts.

These agreements represent a significant step toward sustainable development of regional infrastructure and improved energy efficiency, drawing on advanced international expertise.
