Uzbekistan’s Migration Agency Launches Pilot Program for Citizens’ Employment in Bulgaria
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The head of Uzbekistan’s Migration Agency, Behzod Musaev, held a meeting with Petko Angelov, Chairman of the Board of the Bulgarian Chamber of Road Transport Companies (CBRH), to discuss the organized employment of Uzbek citizens in Bulgaria.
The parties reviewed procedures for workforce preparation and cooperation mechanisms with licensed private employment agencies. The Bulgarian side highlighted strong demand for specialists in the transport and logistics sectors.
Mechanics and technical specialists will be able to start work after a brief adaptation course using diagnostic equipment and electronic systems, with salaries reaching up to €2,500 depending on qualifications and responsibilities. Drivers will undergo preliminary training in line with European Union requirements.
The meeting concluded with the signing of an agreement to develop practical cooperation, launch the pilot project, and establish specialized training courses for workforce preparation.
