Uzbekistan’s MFA Receives Copies of Credentials from the French Ambassador

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 4 September 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, received copies of credentials from the newly appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the French Republic to Uzbekistan, Walid Fouque.

During the meeting, it was noted that Uzbek-French relations, which have a solid historical foundation, have in recent years gained unprecedented momentum and have been elevated to the level of a strategic partnership. Today, cooperation spans a wide range of areas, from the economy and investment to science, education, tourism, and culture.

Bakhtiyor Saidov emphasized that the bilateral agenda still holds significant potential, the realization of which requires further coordinated efforts by the diplomatic institutions of both countries.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the minister wished Ambassador Fouca a successful and productive tenure in Uzbekistan, expressing confidence that his work would contribute to strengthening mutual understanding and expanding practical cooperation between Tashkent and Paris.
