Uzbekistan’s Junior Judokas Win Silver in Mixed Team World Championship

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbekistan national team won the silver medal in the mixed team event at the Junior World Judo Championship in Sofia.

In the qualifying rounds, the Uzbek athletes secured victories over France, Kazakhstan, and Mongolia. In the final, they were defeated by Japan, finishing in second place.

Earlier in the tournament, Uzbekistan’s judokas earned five gold and two bronze medals in individual events, helping the national team claim first place in the overall team standings.
