Uzbekistan’s gold exports increased by 31.3% in January-February 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In the first two months of 2025, Uzbekistan exported US$1.73 billion worth of gold, according to data from the National Statistics Committee.
Compared to the same period last year, gold exports increased by 31.3%, up from US$1.32 billion in January-February 2024.
The share of gold in Uzbekistan’s total exports also grew, reaching 37.3%, compared to 36.3% in the previous year.
The country's foreign trade turnover (FTT) for the reporting period amounted to US$10.8 billion, reflecting a US$973.3 million (9.9%) increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Exports reached US$4.64 billion, marking a 27.7% increase, while imports declined by 0.6% to US$6.2 billion. As a result, Uzbekistan's trade balance remained negative, with a US$1.56 billion deficit.
