Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s gold and foreign exchange reserves reached a record US$77 billion, according to data from the Central Bank.
Over the past month, the reserves increased by US$2 billion.
The growth in reserves is attributed to the rise in the value of precious metals. In February, Uzbekistan’s reserves stood at US$75 billion.
The physical volume of gold in the reserves reached 13.1 million troy ounces, valued at US$67.6 billion. The foreign currency component of the reserves amounted to US$8.8 billion.
