Uzbekistan’s GDP hits 118.987 trln. Soums

The volume of gross domestic product (GDP) of Uzbekistan made up 118.987 trillion soums in 2013, or grew by 8% year-on-year.

According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, the industrial production of Uzbekistan grew by 8.8% year-on-year and reached 61.106 trillion soums in 2013.
Agriculture production of Uzbekistan rose by 6.8% year-on-year in 2013 – to 30.849 trillion soums. Investments into fixed capital made up 27.557 trillion soums or grew by 9.8%, in dollar equivalent – US$13.152 trillion (+11.3%).
The volume of retail trade in Uzbekistan in 2013 reached 47.464 trillion soums or grew by 14.8% compared to 2012.
The volume of exports of Uzbekistan grew by 10.9% year-on-year in 2013 and reached US$15.087 billion, and imports – by 7.7% to US$13.799 billion. Foreign trade surplus reached US$1.288 billion.
