Uzbekistan’s Foreign Ministry Advises Citizens to Suspend Travel to Middle East

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan has issued a formal recommendation for citizens to temporarily suspend international travel to the Middle East, citing the escalating security situation in the region and new airspace restrictions imposed by several countries.

According to the Ministry, these restrictions have caused significant disruptions to international aviation. Travelers, including Uzbek nationals, are currently facing widespread flight cancellations, delays, the closure of transit corridors, and various other logistical challenges.

To ensure the safety and protect the legal interests of its citizens, the Ministry advises against all travel to countries within the region—including business, tourism, medical, and other trips—until the situation stabilizes.

For citizens currently abroad, the Ministry recommends remaining calm, avoiding crowded areas, and strictly adhering to local laws and regulations. Furthermore, nationals are urged to maintain constant communication with Uzbekistan’s diplomatic and consular missions.

The Ministry emphasized that citizens should rely exclusively on official information sources and exercise extreme caution when planning any future foreign travel.
