Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On the second day of the Global Anti-Corruption Conference in Washington, the delegation of Uzbekistan spoke at a special session organized by the United Nations Development Program.
In particular, Akmal Burkhanov, director of the Anti-Corruption Agency, spoke about the introduction of international standards in the field of openness and transparency into the national legislation of Uzbekistan and the effectiveness of information technologies introduced in this area.
The session was attended by the chairman of the board of Transparency International, the head of the USAID ICT department, heads of foreign missions and international non-governmental organizations.
The speakers of the session actively discussed the possibilities of electronic programs and platforms in the fight against corruption, issues of ensuring integrity in the public service, strengthening the capacity of non-governmental organizations, and conducting journalistic investigations.
