Uzbekistan’s Consulate General Showcases the Country’s Investment Potential at Guangzhou Forum

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Consulate General of Uzbekistan delivered a presentation titled “Trade, Economic, Investment and Tourism Potential of Uzbekistan” as part of the business forum “International Exchange of Experience in Business and Industry”, the Dunyo news agency reports.

The forum, organized with the support of the Guangzhou Committee for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT Guangzhou), brought together more than 300 representatives of leading Chinese companies, industry associations, as well as diplomatic missions and chambers of commerce from foreign countries.

Participants received detailed information about large-scale economic reforms in Uzbekistan and the creation of a favorable business environment, including a system of guarantees, tax benefits, and incentives for foreign investors.

Special attention was given to priority sectors of the economy such as the agro-industrial complex, the textile industry, electrical engineering and electronics, information technologies, renewable energy, and tourism.

The strategic importance of the ongoing construction of the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway line was highlighted separately. Once completed, it will become the shortest land route connecting East Asia with markets in the Middle East and Europe.

Following the forum, an agreement was reached to further strengthen practical cooperation with CCPIT Guangzhou, including the organization of business missions, joint events, and the preparation of specific trade and investment agreements.
