Uzbekistan’s Consulate General in Istanbul urges citizens to stay vigilant amid protests
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul has called on Uzbek citizens to exercise heightened caution amid mass protests and demonstrations that have recently swept through the city.
According to available reports, Turkish authorities have identified 261 individuals who posted so-called provocative content on social media. Official sources confirm that 37 of them have been detained. In light of this, Uzbek nationals are strongly advised to be particularly careful when posting and commenting on materials online.
Diplomatic representatives emphasize the importance of avoiding rallies, demonstrations, and any mass gatherings. Citizens are also urged to carefully plan their movements and minimize visits to crowded areas.
