Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — 2025 proved to be a record-breaking year for Uzbekistan’s construction materials industry, marked by successful projects and new opportunities. This was reported at a press conference summarizing the sector’s performance in 2025, held by the “UzSanoatQurilishMateriallari” Association.

The event was attended by the association’s leadership, representatives of universities, entrepreneurs, and media representatives. The press conference opened with a detailed analytical review of the year’s results by Ilyas Rakhimov, Chairman of the Association’s Board.

In 2025, the total output of construction materials reached 52.6 trillion soums, with exports amounting to US$1.2 billion, and investments exceeding US$2.4 billion. As part of the localization program, products worth 4.4 trillion soums were produced domestically.

During the year, Uzbekistan produced 21.5 million tons of cement, 40 million square meters of construction glass, 47 million square meters of ceramic tiles, 110 million square meters of drywall, 336 thousand tons of dry building mixes, and 830 thousand units of sanitary products, fully meeting domestic demand.

In 2025–2026, the sector plans to implement 437 new projects worth a total of US$3.6 billion. Already, 353 projects with a combined value of US$1.8 billion have been commissioned, creating 15,200 new jobs.

Among the largest initiatives are Qoraqalpoq Basaltwool LLC’s project in Nukus for producing 50 thousand tons of basalt-based thermal insulation materials per year, valued at US$52.4 million, and Megaton LLC’s project in Chust district, Namangan region, for producing 500 thousand cubic meters of autoclaved aerated concrete blocks per year, valued at US$40 million.

The 2025 export plan was fully achieved, marking a 142% increase compared to the previous year. The highest growth rates were seen in aluminum materials, ceramic products, marble and granite items, glass products, cement and binding materials, as well as PVC and plastic products.

Key export markets included Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, and the United States, where supply volumes grew significantly. Leading regions for exports were the city of Tashkent (US$291 million) and Tashkent region (US$201 million), followed by Samarkand, Navoiy, Fergana, Andijan, and Khorezm regions.

To further expand export presence in Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, and Kyrgyzstan, trade houses, showrooms, and logistics warehouses were established, featuring over 50 types of high value-added products.

Uzbek entrepreneurs also participated in major international forums and exhibitions held in Tashkent, Kazan, Tbilisi, Baku, Ulaanbaatar, Los Angeles, Brno, and other cities, promoting the country’s construction materials on the global stage.
