Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The leadership of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan held a meeting with representatives of South Korea’s Shinhan Bank, led by Mr. Kim Ji-Yeon, Head of the Global Business Development Department.

During the discussions, Shinhan Bank representatives provided an overview of the bank’s recent activities and outlined plans to expand its presence and strengthen its position in Uzbekistan’s banking market.

In turn, Central Bank specialists briefed the guests on the process of establishing banks in the country and the legal requirements in place.

Additionally, both sides discussed business development opportunities in the local market, particularly in the context of the privatization of state-owned banks.
