Uzbekistan’s Banks More Than Double Net Profit in 2025 to 15.5 Trillion Soums
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In 2025, the net profit of Uzbekistan’s banking sector reached 15.5 trillion soums, representing a 2.36-fold increase compared with 6.6 trillion soums in the previous year, KAP Depo reports.
This growth reflects the recovery and active development of the country’s financial market, as well as banks’ efforts to increase profitability and expand their client base.
The top performers in net profit were UzNatsBank with 1.92 trillion soums, UzpromstroyBank at 1.88 trillion soums, and KapitalBank, which posted 1.79 trillion soums. Notably, KapitalBank returned to the top three for the first time since 2023, displacing HamkorBank, which had held third place by the end of the third quarter of 2025.
Of particular note, Orient Finance surpassed 1 trillion soums for the first time, entering the top five banks by net profit.
Also appearing in the top ten was the National Bank with 702 billion soums — a bank that had not ranked in profit ratings since the pandemic. Promising players include KDB Bank with 691 billion soums and Davr Bank with 631 billion soums. Both banks first entered the top ten in 2024 and largely maintained their positions in 2025.
Analysts highlight that the recovery of UzpromstroyBank after a weak 2022 demonstrates its gradual return to the status of one of the sector’s leading banks in terms of net profit.
