Third-seeded Akgul Amanmuradova of Uzbekistan lost in the second round of the Guangzhou International.
In the second round, Amanmuradova faced Sania Mirza of India and suffered defeat in straight sets 6/4 and 6/3.
Mirza broke her opponent four times while losing serve just once.
