Uzbekistan Wins “Promising Travel Destination for 2026” Award in the United States

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan continues its active efforts to attract international tourists, create comfortable conditions for their stay, expand the range of tourism services, and strategically promote the country’s tourist potential in foreign markets.

As part of these initiatives, the republic participated in one of the largest international travel exhibitions in the United States—the Travel & Adventure Show 2026, held on January 24–25 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York. The Uzbekistan national pavilion, organized by the Tourism Committee, became one of the most prominent and attractive stands at the exhibition.

Visitors were introduced to the country’s historical and cultural heritage, unique monuments of the Great Silk Road, traditional handicrafts, gastronomic and event tourism, as well as modern travel routes catering to various types of travelers.

The event brought together representatives of leading travel agencies, airlines, investment organizations, and U.S. media, providing Uzbekistan with an effective platform to showcase its tourism potential to a broad American audience.

During the exhibition, Uzbekistan was also recognized as the winner of the “Promising Travel Destination for 2026” award, confirmed by an official certificate.

In 2025, more than 37,000 tourists from the United States visited Uzbekistan. With the introduction of a visa-free regime for U.S. citizens and an active campaign promoting the country’s tourism potential, the flow of American travelers is expected to continue growing.
