Uzbekistan Welcomes 11.7 Million Tourists in 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In 2025, Uzbekistan received 11.7 million foreign tourists, marking a significant increase compared with the previous year, according to preliminary data from the National Statistics Committee.

The agency estimates that the number of international visitors traveling to the country for tourism purposes grew by 3.7 million people, or 46.8% year-on-year. This makes the growth rate one of the highest in recent years.

The majority of foreign tourists traditionally came from Central Asian countries. Kyrgyzstan led with 3.3 million visitors, followed by Tajikistan and Kazakhstan, each sending 2.7 million tourists. Russia ranked fourth with 984,400 visitors.

Notable tourist flows were also recorded from Afghanistan, with 476,700 arrivals, and Turkmenistan, contributing 370,000 visitors.

Among countries further afield, the largest numbers of tourists came from China with 278,900 visitors, Türkiye with 174,900, and India with 80,800. South Korea accounted for 46,300 tourists.
