Uzbekistan Voices Concern Over Humanitarian Consequences of Regional Crisis

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 3 March, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyed Abbas Araghchi.

During the discussion, both sides expressed condolences over the loss of civilian lives and conveyed sincere sympathy to the families affected by recent events. The conversation emphasized deep concern regarding the humanitarian impact of the ongoing situation.

The foreign ministers also discussed developments in the region, noting that further escalation of tensions could lead to serious humanitarian consequences and pose additional risks to regional and international security.

Both ministers reaffirmed a consistent and principled stance on the necessity of resolving all disagreements and disputes solely through peaceful means, emphasizing dialogue and diplomatic mechanisms, as well as the importance of restraint and responsibility under the current circumstances.
