Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 February 2022, the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Chairwoman of the Commission on Combating Gender Sharpness of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva met with the US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Uzbekistan Daniel Rosenblum.

At a meeting with parliamentarians on bilateral cooperation, expected and possible relationships between Uzbek and prospective parliamentarians, as well as expected responses.

During the conversations of the meetings, a broad dialogue has been established between the two countries, based on the radiation of mutual meetings. An important event is the 30th anniversary of the establishment of relations between Uzbekistan and the United States, which is being celebrated in the coming year.

Daniel Rosenblum highly appreciated the work carried out in Uzbekistan to combat human trafficking and recruitment, in connection with the request for a sense of preference, the promotion of women's rights, including in connection with their employment.

It was emphasized that great importance is attached to the dialogue of the inter-parliamentary group of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on cooperation with the US Council, the intensification of interaction between the delegations of the legislative bodies of the two countries.

The positive role and effectiveness of the “Caucus on Uzbekistan” activities was noted.

The parties insist on readiness for further development and expansion of the scope of the discussion, limiting access to universal projects.
