Uzbekistan Updates Entrepreneur Resilience Rating System

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan has updated the methodology for determining the resilience rating of business entities.

The corresponding Cabinet of Ministers’ Resolution introduces new indicators to supplement existing criteria and modernizes several of the current criteria.

Previously established 23 criteria have now been complemented by three incentive-based indicators, while 11 criteria have been refined to provide a more objective assessment of business performance and support responsible and innovative entrepreneurs.

The new criteria include: profit tax compliance effectiveness, adherence to digital labeling rules, and use of “green” energy.

Entrepreneurs can earn up to 10 points for exceeding average tax payment indicators or achieving high export revenues.

5 points are awarded for connecting all retail outlets to online cash registers and correctly implementing digital labeling.

The effectiveness of renewable energy use is evaluated up to 5 points, depending on the installed capacity and the share of green energy in total consumption.

The introduction of these measures aims to promote tax discipline, implement modern digital technologies, and develop environmentally friendly energy within Uzbekistan’s business community.
